Baseball barbecue
The Dixie Youth All-Stars, Team Georgia, will hold a barbecue lunch fundraiser on Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church on North Belair Road from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with barbecue plates available for $7. Boating course
The U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary and Army Corps of Engineers will offer a boating safety course Saturday at Thurmond Dam Visitors Center. The class will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end by 4 p.m. Cost is $35 for an individual or $50 for a family.
