Lee, one-time writer of "Lee's Breeze," which appeared in this newspaper, currently writes for The Augusta Chronicle and Augusta College's Bell Ringer . Lee has agreed to take over the Columbia County newspaper for one week to enable the editor and his family to visit relatives and attend the PGA golf tournament in Columbus, Ohio. The office staff will remain the same during the period, with Rebecca Jackson who writes, draws ads, keeps books, answers the phone and accomplishes whatever comes up around the office. Cleanup contract awarded Luke's Garbage Disposal of Evans was the apparent low bidder for year-round cleaning service in Group 2 (Little River) at Clarks Hill Lake. The Savannah District Engineers received 19 bids covering three different areas. The Evans firm bid $13,133 to provide year-round cleaning from the Clarks Hill recreation area at the dam site to Big Hart Creek Park.
