Reed Creek events

Reed Creek Park holds educational programs for children 5-older, including creek exploration, 10-11 a.m. July 16; forest foray, 10-11 a.m. July 17; pond exploration, 10-11 a.m. July 30; and insect investigations, 10-11 a.m. July 31. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For information, call the park at (706) 210-4027.

Mosaic show

Mosaic United Methodist Church, on Columbia Industrial Boulevard, will hold the Studio Go! Game Show July 19 and 21-24 for ages 3 to fifth grade. A kick-off family carnival will be held 5:30-8 p.m. July 19, with the game show July 21-23 and the awards show for families July 24. Supper will be served nightly. Teams sought

The Augusta Alzheimer's Association is recruiting teams and individuals to participate in Memory Walk 2009, which will be held Nov. 7. The first 50 team captains or walkers to register before July 20 will be invited to the July 24 kickoff luncheon at Carrabba's. For information, call (706) 731-9060, or go to www.alz.org/georgia.

Writers meet

CSRA Writers will meet at 6:30 p.m. July 20 at Borders Books, Music, Movies, and Cafe, at 257 Robert C. Daniel, Jr. Parkway. Writers needing a support group are invited to attend and bring eight copies of a manuscript to be critiqued. For information, call Steve Fox at (706) 836-7315.
