Police blotter

From Staff

The following accounts were taken from reports from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. Additional reports are available at www.columbiacountyso.org:

Man's vehicle vandalized

An Evans man said Sunday that he was harassed in the parking lot of the Evans Stadium Cinemas 14 and his friend's vehicle was vandalized by the same young men.

The 20-year-old said that he was at the 464 N. Belair Road theater about 10 p.m. when three teenagers harassed him, followed him to his car and continued to harass him from a green Land Rover.

The man said they left him alone when he returned to the theater.

He left the theater just before midnight and walked a friend to her car. They found writing on her vehicle similar to what the boys were saying while harassing him.

Intruders used pool

A Martinez woman told police Sunday that people had used her pool and pool house without permission.

The intruders had entered her backyard between 10 a.m. and 11:15 p.m. Nothing was taken, but trash was left behind.

Thieves take horses, trailer

A Grovetown woman said Saturday that someone stole two of her horses and a $50,000 horse trailer. They were taken from her home between 8 a.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Shower used in house

Police were called to to Rivershyre subdivision in Evans on Sunday after a resident saw people park in front of a vacant house and run toward it.

Just after 9 p.m., a green Toyota 4Runner parked on Rivershyre Court and two teens went into the house.

When they didn't reappear after about 15 minutes, the neighbor called police.

Police found the back door unlocked and the master bathroom shower and floor were wet. The owner of the house, which is for sale, said the bathroom had been clean Saturday but had a bathtub ring Sunday.

Police could not reach the Grovetown owner of the vehicle, and it was towed to the sheriff's office impound lot.

Structure fires, three; vehicle fire, one; controlled/unauthorized burns, four; activated fire alarms, 15; medical incidents, 17; vehicle accidents, 11; electrical incident, one; investigate various incidents, three; assist residents, two; and other, two.
